Are we taking care of Pune’s Heritage?
We all know that Pune has grown from a historical city, education centre, automobile hub and now to an IT city, which as today’s papers, say, is ahead of Mumbai as far as IT talent goes.
Slightly hard to believe, specially since we read about those old paintings falling to ruin, at woner of wonders, the University of Pune!
First it was the trees of Pune, that lined the roads, which was a delightful sight for someone like me who had moved from Delhi. But the delight was short-lived.
Now it is the historical paintings that are dying. What next?
